Beavers and Squirrels

The Beaver Colony meets in the hall on a Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.  Membership is open to boys aged 5 years and 9 months up to 7 years and 9 months (a Beaver may stay on to 8 years if he wishes, depending on when friends are due to move).

Squirrels is for younger boys aged 4 years to 5 years and 9 months (from P1 onwards).  The Squirrels meet in the hall at the same time.

Beavers and Squirrels meet on Thursdays 10 -  (6.30-7.30pm).

Each year, we are work on various badges – Health and fitness, Healthy Eating, Faith, Outdoor Award and so on.  There are outings to District, County and NI events, plus some trips of our own.  These outings are an important part of the Beaver programme, and every effort is made to attend so that the boys can meet Beavers from other Colonies and be fully part of the overall organisation of Beaver Scouts.  We also attend church services such as Remembrance Sunday, St George’s Day, the Beaver Carol Service and the Guides’ Thinking Day.

Each year we always try to do something new and to vary our programme as much as possible.
