Cubs

Cub Scouts meet in the hall on Monday evenings from 6.15pm to 7.15pm.  Cub Scouts are boys and girls aged between 7 years and 9 months and 10 and a half years to 11 years.

Over the past year, the Cubs have retained the shield for the District Outdoor 5-a-side football competitions, and played very well at the Northern Ireland finals. 

We have played indoor and outdoor games.  We went to Belfast Zoo, and an adventure playground.  We enjoyed a day out in Armagh with Cubs from all over Northern Ireland.  We took part in the District Table Quiz, and we have done some cooking and cleaned silverware. 

The Cubs parade at Woods Church and at other venues at the special services.

The leader is called Akela, and is Gavin Hawthorne.  Other leaders are Ruth and Ben.
